A LITTLE SOMETHING IN RETURN
The Level 4 Lockdown period has certainty presented many challenges for businesses, and with the move now into Level 3, and the uncertainty as to what the future will look like, business owners and managers will need to ensure that they keep then finger on the pulse at all times.
The reality is that, even with many businesses restarting, it will not be a return to business as normal and that restructuring of some form will still be required over the next few months as we realign our business structures and employment terms and conditions to what might be the predicted new normal.
Over the last six week period we have assisted many businesses to either restructure their staff resources, including unfortunately having to end the employment of many staff, or renegotiate the terms and conditions of employees to enable them to retain staff at a lower cost.
These processes are expected to continue over the next three to six months as we gain a better understanding of what the NZ economy will look like for late 2020 and early 2021 – and what it will take to recover.
Within the work completed to date we have identified that a number of companies do not have up to date employment agreements and very few employment agreements contain in-adequate provisions to enable them to address events, such as a pandemic, in a comprehensive and expedient manner.
Therefore, as an expression of thanks to those clients who have continued to support us through this period, we have a little something for you …
We have developed an up to date, legally compliant, MAJOR EVENTS BEYOND THE CONTROL OF THE EMPLOYER clause to insert into your employment agreement template. This comprehensively covers all provisions that may be required by the employer to make the types of changes that have had to occur over the last four-week period.
And the good news is that we are happy to provide this clause free of charge to any business who receives our regular newsletter updates.
We have also seen a number of out of date employment agreements, in addition to the above if you would like your current employment agreement template reviewed we are happy to do this at no cost to you, with us then providing feedback. Alternativity we can also develop a tailor-made agreement specific to your business.
If you would like to take advantage of this free employment agreement review or would like to receive the clause mentioned above, please complete this form and we will be in touch to help provide these services. Please Note: This offer is only for the month of May.
We look forward to continuing to work with you in the coming months.
